Local media quoted Deputy Commerce Minister Weerasak Wangsuphakijkosol as sayingthat the Business Development Department has been ordered to strengthen andupgrade the four service sectors to raise competitiveness.
It was also asked to provide more in-depth knowledge of marketing, businessadministration, financial management and accounting, as well as cost managementfor the services.
According to the department, as of September 26,there were over 18,000 business registrations in the four services withregistered capital of 127 billion baht (4.17 billion USD).
Weerasak said Thailand's elderlycare services are considered insufficient forthe 13 million people who will be aged over 60 by 2020. The figure is expectedto grow to 18 million in 2030./.
