Thai Products’ Week underway in Hai Phong

The Thai Products’ Week is underway in the northern port city of Hai Phong from March 15-18, attracting 50 Vietnamese and Thai exhibitors.

Hai Phong (VNA) – The ThaiProducts’ Week is underway in the northern port city of Hai Phong from March15-18, attracting 50 Vietnamese and Thai exhibitors. 

As part of a series of trade and investmentpromotion events in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) and ASEAN memberstates, the week is being organised by the Thai Ministry of Commerce’sDepartment of International Trade Promotion, the Thai embassy in Hanoi’s Officeof Commercial Affairs and the Vietnam National Trade Fair & AdvertisingCompany.

About 70 booths are showcasing food,beverages, fruit, household appliances, apparel, jewellery, electronics, healthand beauty products, decorations and souvenirs from Thailand.

The event will also feature cookingdemonstrations and music performances.  

The event has been held annually in HaiPhong since 2012.

Thailand is among top 10 largest foreigninvestors in Vietnam, pouring over 8.4 billion USD into nearly 500 projects mostlyin northern and southern Vietnam.

At present, Thailand’sinvestment in Vietnam mainly focuses on manufacturing and processing (7.14billion USD in 212 projects), infrastructure (397 million USD in sevenprojects) and agriculture (277 million USD in 30 projects).-VNA
