Thai PM dismisses military coup rumours

The Prime Minister told reporters that the rumors were “just a fairytale” and to create chaos, adding that foreigners were still confidentin Thailand more than a year after he took power.

Countries are satisfied with the situation in Thailand, said the PrimeMinister, adding Singaporean businessmen want to invest in Thailand.

Last week, PM Prayuth visited the neighbour.

Police said they were tracking down those behind the rumours.

The army toppled former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and seized power during a coup on May 22 last year.-VNA

Indonesia begins major oil, gas exploration in Sulawesi

Indonesia's state-owned oil company Pertamina, along with foreign partners Sinopec from China and Kuwait’s Kufpec, has signed a contract to explore the Melati oil and gas block, located off the coast of Sulawesi. The block is estimated to contain trillions of cubic feet of gas reserves.
