The Thai military government's performance during the past three months after the May 22 coup has impressed the people with latest survey by Bangkok Poll revealed the junta scored 6.9 points from 10 for satisfaction rating.

Its performance score surpassed the Yingluckand Abhisit governments which earlier received 4.49 and 3.82respectively, according to a PBS television bulletin.

Thebulletin also said the poll based on telephone interviews from August 19to 20 found that 1,259 people nationwide were satisfied with theperformance of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) over thepast three months.

The military government gained a score of 6.9points out of 10 for overall performance, 7.69 for handling nationalsecurity, 7.44 for law enforcement, 7 points for social affairs andquality of life, 6.34 for the economy, and 6 for foreign affairs.

Similarsurveys conducted during the two-year terms of former prime ministersYingluck Shinawatra and Abhisit Vejjajiva produced scores of only 4.49points (in August 2013) and 3.82 (in December 2010) respectively foroverall performances.-VNA
