Thai authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a Chinese man in connection with last month’s deadly bombing at Erawan Shrine in Bangkok, Thai police said on September 12.
According to national police spokesman Prawut Thavornsiri, the bomber, identified as Abudusataer Abudureheman, a 27 year-old man of "Uyghur" ethnic minority in China’s Xinjiang province, is accused of owning illegal weapons.
Thai authorities believed that he could have fled to China and asked Chinese authorities for support to track down the suspect.
The Erawan bomb attack killed at least 20 people and injured more than 120 others, including 14 foreigners.-VNA
