Vinh Phuc (VNA) – One hundred giftson January 29 were presented to underprivileged children in Chan Hung, ThuongTrung, Van Xuan communes, Vinh Tuong district, the northern province of VinhPhuc ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet).
The gifts were funded by KFHI Vietnam, anon-profit organisation based in the Republic of Korea.
In 2017, KFHI conducted numerous charityactivities in the province at a total cost of more than 2.3 billion VND(101,000 USD). It will give 300 more Tet gifts to needy children in thelocality, worth over 114 million VND (5,000 USD).
The same day, a unitunder the Hanoi Red Cross Society held a ceremony to hand over nine charityhouses and 200 Tet gifts to poor households and Agent Orange (AO)/Dioxinvictims in six communes of Lap Thach district.-VNA
