Hanoi (VNA) – Ten ministries have connected to the National Single Window (NSW) system, Sai Gon Giai Phong newspaper reported, citing the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

The general department said on September 20 that as of the end of August, the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Science and Technology, Transport, Agriculture and Rural Development, Finance, Natural Resources and Environment, Information and Telecommunication, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Health, and National Defence had all hooked up to the NSW.

34 administrative procedures can now be conducted through the mechanism.

More than 165,000 administrative documents were processed through the NSW by September 15, with the participation of nearly 7,600 enterprises.

Vietnam’s NSW has been successfully connected with those of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore to exchange origin certification of goods Form D.

The country is now ready to officially connect with the ASEAN Single Window Customs System when the protocol on the mechanism takes effect in 2016.-VNA
