Stamp set issued to welcome DPRK-USA Summit

A special stamp set has been issued to welcome the DPRK–USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam, which will take place in the capital city on February 27 and 28.

Hanoi (VNA) - A special stamp set has been issued to welcome the DPRK–USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam, whichwill take place in the capital city on February 27 and 28.

The launching ceremony was jointly organised in Hanoi on February 26 by theMinistry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of ForeignAffairs.

The stamp set includes one stamp of which the face valueis 4,000 VND with the size of 43mm x 32 mm and one blog which is 222 mm x 114mm. The stamp is used in the postal network from February 26, 2019 to December31, 2020.

Using typical art language and tight color scheme, thestamp set shows the US and DPRK leaders’ hand-shaking on the background ofVietnamese peaceful and friendly bamboos.

It also depicts Vietnam’s flag and the bird of peacewith the words “partnership for sustainable peace” in order to confirmVietnam’s ability to host international events as well as its friendliness,hospitality and responsibility towards the world’s sustainable peace.

Under the stamp is the image of Khue Van Cac (The Pavillion of Constellation of Literature) - the symbolof Hanoi which hosts the second DPRK-USA Summit.

With its meaningful language, the small stamp helpsdeliver the message of “Vietnam - A safe and friendly destination” and “Hanoi –City for Peace” to international friends.

It also confirms the role of Vietnam as a United Nationsmember country and a responsible and reliable partner of the internationalcommunity in maintaining peace, stability and development.
