At a conference on the State management of religion in the southeasternregion in the first half of the year and work allocated for the sixremaining months, in Ho Chi Minh City on July 14, the committee saidauthorities at all levels have facilitated religious activities andreligious services have attracted a large number of followers.
Religiousorganisations have expanded training of dignitaries, improvedinternational relations through religious training courses and upgradedtraining establishments and places of worship as well as taken part insocial charitable activities and patriotic movements in localities.
Fromnow until the end of the year, the State management of religion willfocus on thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the XI National PartyCongress on religious work, enhancing its management in accordance withexisting laws.
The committee will also continue its diplomaticfight relating to religion and human rights, resisting the abuse ofreligion to sabotage the great national unity and facilitating religiousorganisations’ involvement in international diplomatic relations andthe celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sanghaand others./.
