Vietnam’s leading clean energy event, The Solar Show 2019, is being held in Ho Chi Minh City from April 3-4, attracting thousands of exhibitors and experts from countries and territories worldwide.

HCM City (VNA) – Vietnam’sleading clean energy event, The Solar Show 2019, is being held in Ho Chi MinhCity from April 3-4, attracting thousands of exhibitors and experts from countriesand territories worldwide.

The second event of its kind featuresover 100 brands, nearly 10 percent of which are domestically-made with thelatest products and solutions in clean energy.

Experts at the event shared thelatest initiatives and successes in the field.

Mai Van Trung, Director ofSolarBK Business Development, said SolarBK is the first one in Vietnam to adoptthe energy service company (ESCO) model.

According to the Ministry ofIndustry and Trade’s new draft, solar roof power can charge a maximum of 0.095USD per kWh.

As the power price recently roseby 8.36 percent in late March, room for solar power in Vietnam remains huge,experts said.

Corporate representatives calledfor the involvement of financial institutions in efforts to develop the solarpower market.

At present, the Ho Chi Minh CityDevelopment Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank) is assisting firms operatingin solar roof power, while the BIDV Insurance Corporation is working withbusinesses to insure relevant projects.–VNA
