Hanoi (VNA) – Singapore’sretail sales in October rose by 7.5 percent annually after registering a 6.8percent increase in September, reported the Department of Statistics Singapore (DOS) on December3.
The DOS attributed the result to new product launches that boostedmobile phone sales.
Retailsales came to 3.6 billion SGD (2.63 billion USD) in all, with online salesmaking up 15.2 percent compared to 15.1 percent in September.
However,the DOS noted that the value remained below pre-pandemic levels.
Food and beverage servicessaw sales in October slip by 4.5 percent year-on-year and 5 percent on aseasonally adjusted and monthly basis, as restaurants faced tighter dine-in restrictions./.
