The Edge newspaper of Singaporereported that the objective of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by thetwo firms is to create the foundation for the first mutual platform to enhancetrade and economic cooperation and technical exchanges in the field of poultryand cattle farming as well as seed processing for Cambodia.
Under the MoU, both companies agreedto initiate the setting up of livestock and seed production in the agricultureeconomic zone, while conducting a feasibility study of a new project onlivestock and agricultural production, and creating more job opportunitieswithin the next six months.
HLH General Director Ong Jia Jing showedpleasure at the potential collaboration between the two companies in thedevelopment of the Cambodia-Singapore Agriculture Special Economic Zone.
Meanwhile, Sussie Ketit, RegionalDirector for SKiold A/S expressed the hope to see positive result spin-offsfrom the initiative not only for Cambodia but also for Singapore throughadopting Danish technologies to raise productivity, apply R&D, andstrengthen food resilience and sustainability.
