“Simple and noble examples” exhibition opens

- An exhibitionentitled “Simple and noble examples” has kicked off at the Ho Chi MinhMuseum in Hanoi.

The exhibition was organised by the PartyCentral Committee’s Commission for Information and Education incollaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

It is designed to celebrate the 129th birthanniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-2019) andreview three years of implementing the Politburo's Directive 05-CT/TU, datedMay 15, 2016, on “studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts,morals and style”.

The exhibition features nearly 300 images andarticles praising exemplary models for living, fighting, working andstudying in a manner which follows the late President’s moral example.

In his opening speech, Director of the Ho ChiMinh Museum Vu Manh Ha said this is the seventh consecutive year the exhibitionhas been organised. It will encourage more people to emulate Uncle Ho'sexample, he said.

One of outstanding people honoured in theexhibition is Tran Thi Thuy, a teacher at the Duc Hop High School in Kim Dong district,the northern province of Hung Yen.

Thuy has gained many awards such as thenational second prize for creative teachers with information technology in2016. She is one of the top 50 teachers to receive the Global TeacherPrize 2019.

Thuy, together with 45 students, joined aproject to attend the contest “Protect our lives from poisonous pesticides”.The project involved connecting knowledge of different subjects such asEnglish, biology, chemistry, literature and geography.

“As an English teacher, I always hope studentsstudy the subject and social skills well," Thuy said. "Withthe theme of learning and following the morality of President Ho Chi Minh, Iapplied much in my teaching. I myself must be an example for my students, andthen explore and support their ability.”
