Jointly held by theMinistry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and theInternational Labour Organisation (ILO) Office in Vietnam , the eventattracted the participation of 200 representatives from relevantagencies, businesses in Hanoi as well as media agencies.
The seminar created an opportunity for relevant agencies to exchangeinformation, knowledge and experience on managing work safety andhygiene, and raising awareness of new requirements in the safetyguarantee and health protection for labourers in the development of asustainable and green economy.
It is expected tocontribute to reducing labour accidents and occupational diseases inline with the National Programme on Work Safety and Hygiene for the2011-2015 term.
The World Day for Safety and Healthat Work held annually by ILO is a campaign to attract the attention ofinternational community to the issue. The Day this year focuses on thetopic “Promoting Occupational Safety and Health in a Green Economy”.-VNA
