Hanoi (VNA) – A seminar was held at the VietnamNational University – Hanoi on July 24 to discuss the youth’s contribution tothe Vietnam-Russia traditional friendship.
Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist YouthUnion Central Committee Bui Quang Huy said the event, part of the ongoingVietnam-Russia Youth Forum, aims to create more chances for young people of thetwo countries to exchange information about the youth’s situation in theirrespective nations, share experience in youth work, and review the time-testedbilateral friendship.
He stressed that young people of Vietnam arealways well aware that the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperationbetween the two peoples, including youths, are the precious assets that need tobe further consolidated and handed down from generation to generation.
Chairman of the Russian Federal Agency forYouth Affairs Alexander Bugayev said the two countries boast a long-standingfriendship which has been nurtured by generations of their leaders and peoplesand become a precious asset of both sides.
The sound relations between Vietnam and Russiahave been lifted a new height as seen in all spheres, including youth work, headded.
At the seminar, participants talked aboutfriendship activities between the countries and gave proposals to help enhancecooperation between Vietnamese and Russian youths.
They also listened to some outstanding personswhose lives are attached with the countries’ relationship development tellingstories about the bilateral friendship and the time they studied in Russia.-VNA
