Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Seafood Fair will take placein Hanoi from October 6-10, a representative of the Trade Promotion Centre forAgriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development told apress conference on September 28.
Following the success of the fair of Vietnamese tra fish andaquatic products in Hanoi in 2017, the event will be co-hosted by the TradePromotion Centre for Agriculture, the Agro Processing and Market DevelopmentAuthority, the Directorate of Fisheries, the Vietnam Fisheries Society and theVietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers.
Director of the centre Dao Van Ho said the event aims tomaintain the sustainable production and consumption of Vietnamese aquaticproducts, promote domestic trade and consumption, and attract investment toaquaculture.
Apart from fresh seafood such as tra fish, shrimp, cuttlefishand octopus, the fair will also showcase equipment and materials used foraquaculture, feed for aquatic products and support services, he said.
Meanwhile, a fair of Vietnamese craft villages and aninternational seminar on the programme “One Commune – One Product” (OCOP), oneof the important trade promotion events of the agricultural sector, will take place inthe capital city from November 17-21.
The fair is expected to introduce outstanding craft villagemodels nationwide, popularise the OCOP programme, and expand handicraftmarkets.-VNA
