Scholarship programme marks Vietnam, India’s cooperation

The Ambassador made the remark at ITEC alumni function held by theIndian Embassy in Hanoi on January 10, which was attended by nearly200 people went to study in India under the programme.

The scholarship covers information technology, journalism,management, rural development, environment, English language training,and accounting, among others.

During the IndianPrime Minister Shri Atal Behari Vaijpayee’s official visit to Vietnam in2011, India decided to raise the number of ITEC scholarships forVietnam from 75 to 150 since the 2012 – 2013 academic year.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
