Creating a helpful playground
This year, Samsung Vietnam marked five years of its efforts to equip Vietnamese students with technological knowledge by holding a Robocon competition for all students in the Samsung Innovation Campus 2022-2023 project. The competition looked to enable students to showcase knowledge and skills they have gained from the project, as well as to interact with their fellows who share the same passion from across the country.
As a result, AD2 WIN team from An Duong High School in Hai Phong city and Warriots team from Duy Tan University in Da Nang city became winners.
President of Samsung Vietnam Choi Joo Ho said motivating students to become tech-savvy is indeed the purpose that the project looks to so that they can make a real impact in Vietnam.
The Samsung Innovation Campus officially debuted globally in 2019. It is one of Samsung's prominent corporate social responsibility projects and has expanded to 33 countries worldwide, including the US, Germany, Spain, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, among others.
With the vision "Together for Tomorrow – Enabling People”, Samsung has been embarking on various projects to nurture technological talents in Vietnam. This includes the Solve for Tomorrow (SFT) competition, an educational STEM platform at S.hub Kids in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, and the Samsung Lab classroom funding. These efforts provide students at universities with access to modern information technology knowledge, and awarding Samsung talent scholarships along with internship opportunities at Samsung Vietnam's Mobile R&D Centre./.
