Run Day for Public Health to take place nationwide

The 2015 Olympic Run Day will take place in public areas nationwide on March 22 to promote an active lifestyle, according to the General Department for Sports and Physical Training.

In Hanoi, the event is expected to be joined by 1,500 participants competing in 1,000 – 1,500 races around Hoan Kiem Lake.

In response to the national campaign “All people do physical exercisefollowing the example of Uncle Ho”, the Olympic Run Day aims toencourage people to do physical exercise regularly to stay fit andhealthy.

Eight provinces have planned to organise therun so far, including Khanh Hoa, Thai Nguyen, Dak Nong, Thanh Hoa, DakLak, Hai Duong and Quang Binh.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
