The Republic of Korea’s Human Resource Development Service willresume Korean language tests for Vietnamese workers in December.
Head of the Overseas Labour Management Department Nguyen Ngoc Quynhsaid at a press briefing in Hanoi on Nov. 3 that after a four-monthsuspension due to increasing numbers of illegal Vietnamese workers inRoK, the test will take place on December 17-18 in Hanoi, the provincesof Nam Dinh and Nghe An, and Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh cities.
The test, aims to select 15,000 workers for manufacturing, civil engineering, agriculture and fisheries employment.
The RoK Employment and Labour Ministry’s resumption of Vietnameseworker recruitment is a result of measures taken by Vietnam ’sOverseas about Management Department and localities to preventVietnamese illegal workers in RoK.
Vietnam has sent 63,270workers to the RoK via the Employment Permit System programme, whichstarted in 2004. In the first nine months of this year, 12,300 workerswere sent to the RoK./.
