Jakarta (VNA) – President of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Moon Jae-in isscheduled to pay a State visit to Indonesia from November 8-11, spokesperson ofthe Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Nasir has said.

It will be thefirst trip of the RoK President to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) since he took office, showing the RoK’s strong commitment in enhancingcooperation with Indonesia and ASEAN.

Edi Yusup, the IndonesianForeign Affairs Ministry’s Director for East Asia and Pacific, said thatleaders of the two countries will discuss bilateral trade, citizen protectionand regional issues. They will also talk about expanding bilateral cooperationbetween the RoK and other countries in the Asia-Pacific.

During thevisit, the two countries are expected to sign memoranda of understanding on cooperationin the fields of industry, communications and health.

An Indonesia-RoKbusiness forum featuring representatives of 300 businesses of the two countrieswill be held, aiming to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation and businessconnection.-VNA
