RoK enterprises seek investment opportunities in Khanh Hoa

Khanh Hoa (VNA) - The People’s Committee of south central Khanh Hoaprovince held an investment promotion conference on October 23 with adelegation of 16 enterprises from the Republic of Korea (RoK), led by AhnSeong-ho, Trade Counsellor at the RoK Consulate General in HCM City.

Representatives from the provincial Departmentof Planning and Investment, Van Phong Economic Zone Management Board, andCam Ranh International Airport introduced the guests to the province’spotential and advantages, fields calling for investment, and preferentialpolicies for foreign investors in Vietnam in general and in Khanh Hoa inparticular.

Chairman of the provincial People’s CommitteeNguyen Tan Tuan highlighted the locality’s economic development orientations andexpressed his hope that participating enterprises will seek business andinvestment opportunities and expand their markets to contribute to fosteringtwo-way trade and investment between the two countries.

Khanh Hoa has set a target of developing threekey economic zones - Nha Trang Bay, Cam Ranh Bay, and Van Phong Bay - and is callingfor investment in tourism seaport services, aquaculture and aquatic productprocessing, maritime and aviation services, and shipbuilding.

The province has attracted 79 FDI projects to datewith total capital of 3.6 billion USD. The RoK ranks second in terms ofinvestment value, after Japan.

The participating RoK enterprises spoke highly ofKhanh Hoa’s potential and advantages, saying they will conduct fact-findingtours shortly./.
