Reference exchange rate revised down at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,149 VND per USD on February 8, down 5 VND from the last working day of the previous week (February 5).

Hanoi (VNA) - The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,149 VND per USD onFebruary 8, down 5 VND from the last working day of the previous week (February5).

With the current trading band of +/-3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,843VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,455 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at somecommercial banks stayed stable.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed thebuying rate at 22,880 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,090 VND/USD, both unchangedfrom February 5.

BIDV also kept both rates unchangedat 22,910 VND/USD (buying) and 23,110 VND/USD (selling).

Similarly, Vietinbank maintained thesame rates as on February 5, at 22,858 VND/USD (buying) and 23,105 VND/USD(selling)./.
