Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank ofVietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,145 VND/USD on December 31,unchanged from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, theceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the day is 23,840 VND/USDand the floor rate 22,450 VND/USD.

The opening-hour rates at commercial bankscontinued to decrease.

At 8:30 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rateat 22,610 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,920 VND/USD, both down 50 VND fromDecember 30.

Similarly, BIDV also cut both rates by 50 VND,listing the buying rate at 22,630 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,010VND/USD./.
