Reference exchange rate for VND/USD rises by 12 VND

The reference exchange rate for Vietnamese dong against the US dollar was announced at 21,964 VND per USD for October 5 morning, up 12 VND from October 4.

Hanoi (VNA) - The reference exchange rate for Vietnamese dong against the US dollar was announced at 21,964 VND per USD for October 5 morning, up 12 VND from October 4.

With the current +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 22,623 VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,305 VND per USD.

Commercial banks made no change to their listed USD price.

The Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) posted buying and selling prices at 22,265 – 22,335 VND per US dollar the same morning, unchanged compared to the same time of October 4.

Rates were listed at 22,270 – 22,340 VND/USD by the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV); and at 22,255 – 22.335 VND per USD by the Vietnam Import-Export Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Eximbank), unchanged compared to the same time of October 4.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank) revised the buying/selling rates up by 10 VND and 20 VND from October 4. It listed the exchange rate of 22,260 – 22,360 VND (buying/selling) per USD.-VNA
