Reference exchange rate down at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,396 VND/USD on January 15, down 10 VND from the end of last week (January 12).

Hano​i (VNA) – The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,396 VND/USD onJanuary 15, down 10 VND from the end of last week (January 12).

With the current trading band of+/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,065 VND/USD, and the floor rate 21,729 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at major commercialbanks stayed stable.

Across Vietcombank, Vietinbankand BIDV, the buying rate is listed at 22,675 VND/USD and the selling rate22,745 VND/USD, unchanged from the rates on January 12. -VNA
