Reference exchange rate down 5 VND

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,192 VND per USD on October 15, down 5 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,192 VND per USD on October 15, down 5 VND from the previousday.

With thecurrent trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbanks during the day is 23,889 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,496 VND/USD.

The openinghour rates at most commercial banks saw fluctuations.

At 8:35 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,060 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,270 VND/USD, each down by 10 VND from October 14.

BIDV also cutits both rates down by 10 VND, listing 23,090 VND/USD (buying) and 23,270VND/USD (selling)./.
