Reference exchange rate down 4 VND on October 6

Hanoi (VNA) - The StateBank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,208 VND per USD on October6, down 4 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,904VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,512 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at mostcommercial banks increased slightly.

 At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rateat 23,080 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,290 VND/USD, both up 10 VNDcompared to October 5.

BIDV also added 10 VND to both rates,at 23,110 VND/USD (buying) and 23,290 VND/USD (selling).
 
Meanwhile, the rates listed by Techcombank rose 13 VND at 23,098 VND/USD(buying) and 23,298 VND/USD (selling)./.
