Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchangerate at 23,205 VND per USD on September 8, down 2 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercialbanks during the day is 23,901 VND/USD and the floor rate, 22,509 VND/USD.

The openinghour rates at commercial banks continued to stay stable.

At 8:25 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,060 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,270 VND/USD, both unchanged from September 7.

BIDV alsokept both rates unchanged, at 23,065 VND/USD (buying) and 23,285 VND/USD(selling).

Meanwhile, Techcombankraised its both rates by 1 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,067 VND/USD and theselling rate at 23,267 VND/USD./.
