Reference exchange rate continue to rise

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set its reference VND/USDexchange rate at 22,463 VND/USD on March 29, up by 10 VND from the day ago.

With thecurrent +/- 3 percent VND/USD trading band, the ceiling exchange rate is 23,141VND per USD and the floor rate is 21,797 VND per USD.

Majorcommercial banks made increases to their rates.

Vietcombank raisedits buying rate by 15 VND to 22,775 VND, and maintained its selling rate at 22,845VND (selling), per USD.

Vietinbank listed its rates 22,751 VND (buying) and 22,821 VND (selling), perUSD, up 2 VND.

Meanwhile, BIDV raised its rates by 5 VND to 22,785 VND (buying), and 22,855VND (selling), per USD. - VNA
