More than 70 Thai enterprises were briefed on potential investmentopportunities at a conference held by the central Quang Tri provincePeople’s Committee.
The conference, takingplace on March 18 in the capital city of Dong Ha, aimed to provide Thaicompanies with a comprehensive understanding of the province’sadvantages and potential to help encourage relevant and promisingbusiness ideas.
Thai investors asked a number ofclarifying questions on land-lease contracts, the province’s policy onnatural resources and the protection of foreign companies, workersalaries, tariffs and procedures for bank loans.
Responding to concerns from Thai investors, the province’s DeputyChairman Ha Sy Dong said that Quang Tri will create favourableconditions for Thai enterprises to rapidly and effectively implementinvestment projects.
Around 1,200 local andforeign enterprises have been registered in the province with a totalcapital of 2.36 billion USD, yet only three are Thai businesses.-VNA
