Quang Nam builds modern wastewater recycling plant

The central province of Quang Nam on March 23 kicked off the construction of a wastewater recycling plant in the Tam Thang industrial park in Tam Ky city.

Quang Nam (VNA) – The central provinceof Quang Nam on March 23 kicked off the construction of a wastewater recyclingplant in the Tam Thang industrial park in Tam Ky city.

The project, worth 230 billion VND (over 10million USD), was invested by Renewable Technology Solutions Joint StockCompany.

The plant will cover 2.4 hectares and has a designedcapacity of 26,000 cubic meters of water per day. It will use the advanced technologyof the US.

The project is carried out in two phases. Thefirst phase with a capacity of 13,000 cubic meters of water is scheduled forcompletion in 2017, while the second phrase will be done within two years(2018-2019).

The plant will recycle treated wastewaterdischarged from the industrial park’s wastewater treatment plant and then providefor production of factories in the Tam Thang industrial park, helping tocontrol the water environment as well as reduce production costs.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Le Van Thanh said the project is also hoped to raise awareness ofsaving clean water among workers and local people.-VNA
