Prague (VNA) – In the context that the EuropeanUnion – Vietnam Free Trade Area (EVFTA) is going to be finalized soon, thecoming visit to the Czech Republic by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc is ofgreat significance in trade and business as the two sides can reach more agreementson import and export, according to a Czech official.
In an interview with Vietnam News Agency, President of theCzech – Vietnam Friendship Association Milos Kusy further said the public in theEuropean country hold that the visit, to be made from April 16-14, will alsohelp intensify mutual understanding on each side’s culture and economy. TheCzech Republic is now has a big demand for labour and the visit will changeconditions for Vietnamese workers to work in the republic, he highlighted.
Kusy held that during the visit, the two sides may reach anagreement on the visa for Czech tourists to Vietnam and vice versa tofacilitate the development of trade, economy and people-to-people exchangesbetween the two countries.
Meanwhile, President of the Vietnamese Association in theCzech Republic Nguyen Duy Nhien said the community has a big expectation fromthe visit as it can help lift bilateral relations to a hew height. Members ofthe community are specifically interested in the economic cooperation betweenthe two countries and call the visit a manifestation of the real sentiment fromthe Motherland.
Nien further affirmed that the Vietnamese community in theCzech Republic always serves as a bridge in the bilateral relations, and theassociation has long been playing the role of a “people diplomat” in thoseties.
On behalf of the Vietnamese community in the country, Nhienexpressed his hope that the coming visit will create favourable conditions forthem to further integrate into the local society and to preserve the nationalcultural identiy.-VNA
