Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phucwill give more information about some issues within the remit of the Governmentand field queries of legislators on the last day of the question-and-answer(Q&A) session on November 1.
The PM will be the last Cabinet member to gobefore the National Assembly (NA) during the three days designated for Q&Aon the working programme of the ongoing sixth session of the 14th parliament.
On October 31, many NA deputies questioned anddebated with Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh,Prosecutor General of the Supreme People’s Procuracy Le MinhTri, Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, InspectorGeneral of the Government’s Inspectorate Le Minh Khai, and some ministers.
Issues mentioned at the hearing includedrevising inappropriate regulations on education, increasing coordination withbusinesses in vocational training, suing for administrative decisions, andhandling harmful information on the internet.
Lawmakers also grilled Cabinet members aboute-government building, functions and tasks of the inspection apparatus of thenatural resources and environment sector, the establishment of the right toownership of invested assets on land, solutions to pollution in the Nhue andDay river basins, post-equitisation land management, regional connectivity intourism development, preservation of cultural heritage of ethnic minorities,and overlapping inspection activities.
A new point in the current Q&A session isthat deputies do not question according to groups of issues, but insteadfocusing on matters related to Government members’ realisation of theirpromises.
NA deputies noted that most Government membershad given straightforward and to-the-point answers along with specific solutionsto the problems they were asked about.
