Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese agenciesin Ukraine and Germany have held meaningful activities to mark President Ho ChiMinh’s 130th birthday (May 19, 1890-2020).

The Party Committee in Ukraine organized a tree-planting event at theVietnamese Embassy in Ukraine on May 19.

Ambassador Nguyen Anh Tuan recalled that President Ho Chi Minh initiated atree-planting movement which later has become a beautiful tradition of Vietnam.He affirmed that the President’s idea on planting tree – cultivating people hasremained a valuable lesson.

Earlier, the embassycoordinated with the Ho Chi Minh School in Kiev to hold a seminar on PresidentHo Chi Minh and a contest on the life and career of the Vietnamese President.

The same day in Germany, theVietnamese embassy held an incense offering ceremony to pay tribute to PresidentHo Chi Minh./.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
