Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai presented the Order ofIndependence-1 st class to the Power Engineering Consulting Joint StockCompany 2 (PECC2) at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 3.
Speakingat the event, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored that the companyneeds to renew their management mechanisms while enhancing theirconsulting capacity to meet the demands of customers and both domesticand foreign investors.
He asked the company to broaden theirconsulting fields while fostering studies on renewable energies toreduce the consumption of fossil fuels and take advantage of availableresources.
In the past 30 years, PECC2’s development has beenattached to a raft of national key projects – the North-South 500kilovolt transmission line, Ha Tien-Phu Quoc 110 kilovolt submarinepower cable and a number of power plants nationwide.
Last year,the company took charge of the design of the EPC contract for the VinhTan 4 thermal power plant, one of three power projects built at a costof over 1 billion USD.
PECC2’s activities have been extended to countries in the vicinity such as Laos, Cambodia and China.-VNA
