Politburo member To Huy Rua appreciated the contributions made by Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Fukada Hiroshi to the success of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s recent official visit to Japan at their meeting in Hanoi on September 30.
The visit from September 15-18 contributed to boosting the bilateral relations in a more comprehensive, practical and sustainable manner, said Rua, who is Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group.
He suggested the diplomat continue coordinating with Vietnamese ministries and sectors to effectively implement agreements reached during the visit.
The ambassador, in turn, affirmed he will work to realise agreements, including the Vietnam-Japan University project, while wishing that the two countries’ agencies would continue dealing with existing issues to put the university into operation and promote practical and effective cooperation in education-training and human resources development.
