Hanoi (VNA) – The Drug Crime Investigation Department (PC47) under HoChi Minh City Police on January 5 uncovered two drug trafficking cases andarrested two people for illegal trading and stockpiling of ecstasy, ketamineand heroin.
The arrested were Nguyen Van Toan (or Tung), born in 1977, and Nguyen Thi NgocHa, born in 1981. Both reside in Ho Chi Minh City.
Toan was caught red-handed with 13,000 ecstasy pills and 0.5 kilogramme ofKetamine wrapped as coffee packs.
According to the police, Toan bought the drug from Cambodia and sell inVietnam.
He initially confessed that he bought 1,000 ecstasy pills at 9,800 USD.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha was nabbed with two bricks of heroine weighing700 grammes. Searching her house in Go Vap district and workshop in Binh Duong province,police discovered and seized 10 kilogrammes of heroin.

The same day, border guards in the central province of Ha Tinh and relevantauthorities caught red-handed Nguyen Nhu Ba, born in 1975 in Nghe An province,for transporting 8,000 tablets of synthetic drugs.
Ba said he was hired to transport the drug from the border area.
The police force in Moc Chau and Van Ho districts in the northern mountainousprovince of Son La nicked two Mong ethnic women, Lau Thi Dua (born in 1982) andThao Thi Do (born in 1991) for illegal transport of six heroin cakes. Both livein A La village, Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district.
