Police agency on economy, corruption crimes established

The Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to establish an Investigation Police Department on Economic and Corruption-related Crimes on April 24.
The Ministry of Public Security announced the decision to establish anInvestigation Police Department on Economic and Corruption-relatedCrimes on April 24.

The new department, under theGeneral Department of Police, is formed by merger between theInvestigation Police Department on Crimes related to Economic ManagementOrder and Positions, and the Investigation Police Department onCorruption-related Crimes.

Deputy Minister of PublicSecurity Le Quy Vuong told the new department to liaise with relevantagencies to promptly execute its assigned tasks.

Itought to swiftly enact its role in preventing and combating crimes,especially corruption as a special focus of the Party and State as wellas the entire society, added the Senior Lieutenant General.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
