Beijing (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuchad a meeting with Tajikistani President Emomali Rahmon in Beijing on April 26on the sidelines of the second Beltand Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF).

Stressing the significance of the traditional friendshipbetween the two countries, the two leaders agreed to facilitate the ties, makingit more practical and effective.

PM Phuc thanked Tajikistan for supporting Vietnam in runningfor a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for the 2020-2021 tenure.

They concurred to strengthen the exchange of delegations atall levels, including the high level. Ministries and sectors of both countriesshould reinforce legal foundation for bilateral cooperation, while reviewingand speeding up the signing of agreements in economy, trade and investment suchas the Double Tax Avoidance Agreement, Animal and Plant Quarantine Agreement,and Legal Assistance Agreement in Civil Affairs.

On the occasion, the Tajikistani President invited PartyGeneral Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and PM Phuc to visit hiscountry.-VNA
