The PM made the appeal during hismeeting in Hanoi on October 30 with Watanabe Kohei, President of theMekong-Japan Economic Cooperation Committee, who is leading adelegation from the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) on aworking visit to Vietnam.
Japan remainsVietnam’s biggest investor and ODA donor, he said, stressing that thecooperation between the two countries has seen strong development overthe recent years. He affirmed that Japanese ODA has positivelycontributed to Vietnam’s national socio-economic development.
PM Dung said, however, that there is still room for the two sides toexpand their cooperation in economics, trade and investment.
He expressed his desire that the JCCI will continue to work to promotethe multilateral ties between the two countries.
For his part, Watanabe Kohei said the delegation visits Vietnamthis time to attend dialogues with the Ministry of Planning andInvestment and some relevant agencies on how to further the economic,trade and investment ties between the two countries.
He said many businesses accompany him in this trip in order to findchances to invest in Vietnam, especially in support industry, high-tech,information technology, energy, agriculture and environment.-VNA
