– Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc andthe high-level Government delegation of Vietnam arrived at Ngurah Rai Baliairport in Bali, Indonesia, in early afternoon of October 11.

PM Phuc is making the trip to Indonesia to attend the ASEANLeaders’ Gathering on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the InternationalMonetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), and for a working visit toIndonesia.

Immediately after the arrival, the Vietnamese PM will attendthe ASEAN Leaders’ Gathering and hold several bilateral meetings with the Kingof Brunei, the President of the Philippines and the Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Under the theme “Achieving Sustainable Goals and OvercomingDevelopment Gap through Regional and Global Collaborative Actions,” the ASEANLeaders Gathering will focus on ideas, orientations and measures to intensifycooperation and collaboration between ASEAN and other internationalorganisations such as the United Nations, the IMF and the WB, creating newdriving forces for the building of the ASEAN Community in close associationwith the 2030 Agenda on sustainable development.

On Octobe 12, PM Phuc is scheduled to attend the openingsession of the annual IMF-WB meeting.

He will also hold talks with Indonesian President JokoWidodo, meet with leaders of the IMF and WB, and executives of severalIndonesian companies.-VNA
