Phu Yen (VNA) – The central coastal province ofPhu Yen will hold a conference to promote investment in the locality for 2018on January 19.

At a press conference held on January 15, which released theinformation, representatives of local authorities said more than 500 delegates,including those from 260 domestic and international enterprises, are expected toattend the conference.

Phan Dinh Phung, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee, noted the event aims at introducing investors to preferentialpolicies designated for them and a list of projects on agriculture, processingindustry, mining, renewable energy, and tourism. 

Le Tan Ho, Director of the provincial Department of Planningand Investment, said Phu Yen houses five concentrated industrial parks coveringa total area of 498 hectares.

The province is investing in infrastructure at the Nam PhuYen economic zone and building a hi-tech agricultural park.

The upcoming conference is expected to see the granting oflicences to investments totaling nearly 12.4 trillion VND (558 millionUSD).-VNA
