Phu Yen inks cooperation documents with two Japanese firms

Vietnam’s central coastal province of Phu Yen will cooperate with two Japanese businesses in the aquatic sector and sorghum material area development, under memoranda of understanding reached on November 24 within the framework of the official visit to Japan by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Tokyo (VNA) – Vietnam’s central coastalprovince of Phu Yen will cooperate with two Japanese businesses in the aquaticsector and sorghum material area development, under memoranda of understandingreached on November 24 within the framework of the official visit to Japan byPrime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment Le Minh Hoan and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee PhamDai Duong witnessed the signing ceremony in Tokyo.

Accordingly, Phu Yen will partner with KiyomuraCorporation in the aquatic sector, and with eREX Co., Ltd. in sorghum materialarea development, the two areas the province is focusing on to spur itseconomic growth post COVID-19.

At a working session with leaders of the businessesearlier, Hoan affirmed his support for the projects, which, he said, areexpected to contribute to boosting socio-economic development in Phu Yen andVietnam at large.

For his part, Duong said the projects would help todeal with difficulties to the supply chain and enhance cooperation betweenVietnam and Japan, adding that Phu Yen’s competent agencies have completed the investmentlicence grant to the pilot project of eREX./.
