People confident in Party-led building of strong country

Party members and people have expressed their confidence that the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), under the leadership of newly-elected General Secretary To Lam, will sail the revolutionary ship through all storms to build a stable and prosperous country.

Hanoi (VNA) – Party members and people have expressed their confidence that the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), under the leadership of newly-elected General Secretary To Lam, will sail the revolutionary ship through all storms to build a stable and prosperous country.

Bach Cong Tien, former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ba Vi district, Hanoi, held that the new Party chief, being a member of the CPV Central Committee for three tenures, and member of the Politburo and the National Assembly for two tenures, as well as the Minister of Public Security, has considerable experience in Party building work, state management, policy making and law building.

Inheriting the noble revolutionary tradition of his family and homeland, Party General Secretary Lam has demonstrated the qualities of an excellent Party members, and joined hands with the CPV Central Committee and Politburo to handle many challenging issues, he said, expressing his hope that Lam will continue strengthening solidarity and unity within the Party and the great national solidarity, as well as building and rectifying the Party, fighting corruption and negative phenomena, and devoting himself to a strong CPV, and a country of prosperity, democracy, equality and civilisation.

Tien said 100% approval votes for Lam as the Party leader demonstrates solidarity and agreement within the Party.

Nguyen Thi Hien, an office worker at the Dai Nam University, said she is impressed by the speech that Party General Secretary Lam delivered at the press conference, which highlighted the leader’s devotion to serve the nation and people.

She added that she deeply shares the spirit of “independence, self-confidence, self-reliance and national pride” that Lam mentioned in his inaugural speech. Hien voiced her belief that with his experience and devotion, General Secretary Lam, together with the Party Central Committee, will continue promoting the nation’s potential, position and international prestige in the nation’s “bamboo” diplomacy for the country's prosperous development./.
