Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science andTechnology Associations Dang Vu Minh reflected on milestoneachievements in the science sector last year, including the enforcementof the revised Law on Science and Technology, the launch of the firstVietnam Science and Technology Day, and the extension of the working agefor retired science workers who want to continue working foruniversities or research facilities.

Huu Thinh,President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations andPresident of the Vietnamese Writers’ Association, said the nationalsuccesses feature the widespread influence of the revolutionaryliterature and arts sector.

Nearly 40,000 artistsof 73 member units of the association pledged to stand united andbreathe new life into the sector, he added.
