Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Le Hong Anh welcomed Secretary for External Relations of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) of Mexico Javier Vega in Hanoi on July 27, saying that the Communist Party of Vietnam treasures its friendly cooperation with Latin America, including Mexico.

The host congratulated the PRI on its achievements, especially its success in the mid-term election in June.

He also informed his guest about Vietnam’s developments andpreparations for the 12th National Party Congress slated for early2016.

Secretary Vega, in turn, expressed hisdetermination to foster ties between the two ruling Parties, States andpeoples as well as tap cooperative potentials across economics,investment, tourism and education.

Earlier, theguest also held talks with Secretary of the Party Central Committee andChief of the Party Central Committee’s Office Tran Quoc Vuong, duringwhich both sides exchanged views on global issues of shared concern anddiscussed measures to foster friendship between the two Parties andcountries.

During the stay, the Mexican delegationalso paid tribute to the late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum andheld working sessions with the Foreign Ministry and the Ho Chi MinhNational Academy of Politics and Public Administration.-VNA
