Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Vuong Dinh Huehas appreciated contributions to Vietnam’s economic development bySanjay Kalra’s, the International Monetary Fund’s ResidentRepresentative for Vietnam and Laos.
During themeeting in Hanoi on July 27 with Sanjay Kalra, who is going to finishhis tenure of working in Vietnam, Hue spoke highly of the IMF official’sclose cooperation, especially his precious assistance and advice in thepast four years, contributing to promoting ties between Vietnam and theIMF.
Hue hoped the IMF would continueincreasing cooperation, especially in research and assessment with frankviews, to assist in the Economic Commission’s consultative and researchtasks.
He wished Kalra, in his new position,would continue to support Vietnam and foster the cooperation between thecommission and the IMF.
At the meeting, Kalraemphasised that maintaining stabilising the macro-economy is vital andthat the leadership of the Party is very important, including thecommission’s consultative role.-VNA
