Moscow (VNA) – Headof the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh heldworking sessions with Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential PlenipotentiaryEnvoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, and Governor of the Primoryeregion Vladimir Miklushevskii in the Russian city of Vladivostok on September 5. 

Binh has been in Vladivostok toattend the third Eastern Economic Forum from September 5-8.

At these working session, Binh saidexports-imports between Vietnam and the Far East are not competing with butsupplementing each other, thus creating favourable conditions for two-waytrade.

The Far East’s new investmentencouragement policies are also opening up cooperation potentials and opportunitiesin economy, investment and trade between the two sides, he added.

The officials also expressedtheir belief that the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership willfurther grow in various fields, especially in the Far East which boastsabundant natural resources and serves as a gateway of Russia to theAsia-Pacific region, including the Association of Southeast Asian Nations(ASEAN) and Vietnam.

On this occasion, Binh witnessedthe signing of a cooperation agreement between the People’s Committee ofnorthern Hai Phong port city and Primorye region.

As scheduled, Binh will deliver a welcome speech atthe opening of the third Eastern Economic Forum on September 6.-VNA
