Party meeting discusses draft political report

The draft political report, which will be submitted to the upcoming 12th National Party Congress, was the focus of the third working day of the 10th plenum of the Party Central Committee on January 7.
The draft political report, which will be submitted to the upcoming12th National Party Congress, was the focus of the third working day ofthe 10th plenum of the Party Central Committee on January 7.

The Committee convened its 10th meeting in Hanoi on January 5 under the chair of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

During the eight-day event, the Committee will discuss and approvedraft documents to be submitted to the 12th National Party Congress. Thedocuments will then be sent to Party congresses at different levels forfeedback.

Several reports and projects will also be tabled for recommendations before submitted to the Politburo.

A vote of confidence on members of the Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat will be conducted.

On January 6, the Committee voted to introduce additional candidates to the Politburo and Secretariat for the 2016-2021 term.-VNA
